James Michael Wood passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Beloved son of Michael Forrest Wood and Jennifer Lynn Mangina Wood; loving father of Thomas Michael Wood; and grandson of Ben Franklin Mangina and Ann Wellston Mangina. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Forest Gregory Wood and Electa Schrimpf Wood.

Age 29 years, he was native of Metairie, LA and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 15 years. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM.

Visitation on Friday will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Thomas Michael Wood Education Fund at Capitol One Bank.
